Too often we find ourselves making choices based on what has just happened in our lives. We stop being the driver of our life and end up being a passenger.
Has this happened to you?
Ask yourself. What does my life look like today?
What do I want it to look like in 6 months? 12 months? 5 years?
What steps do I need to take to make that happen?
What can I do today, that is one step towards making that happen?
A few years ago now I found myself in a situation, that whilst it was of my doing, it only happened because I took my hands off the steering wheel. I lost control of my life and lived according to the circumstances I found myself in and life seriously became a train wreck. It took me three maybe four years to grab the steering wheel again and it feels good. It is never too late to intentionally make change.
To easily make changes, start with something small every day. Something you can control. As the little things get easier, become more courageous and take bigger and bigger steps. I now work on just one thing at a time. When I find myself going into overwhelm, I pull back, look at my plan and find the one thing that must be done today.
Get out of the backseat and back into the drivers seat.
